Adare Pharma Solutions Wins CPHI Award For Drug Delivery & Device Innovation
PHILADELPHIA, October 8, 2024 — Adare Pharma Solutions, a global technology-driven CDMO focused on oral dosage forms, today announced that it has won the 2024 ‘Drug Delivery & Device Innovation’ award at the annual CPHI Pharma Awards for its part in developing a sprinkle formulation of a drug capsule for the treatment of tremors and other uncontrolled body movements.
The award recognizes innovation related to drug delivery, routes of administration, and device development, and the judging panel acknowledged the work of Adare’s scientists in providing an alternative administration option to patients with swallowing difficulties. Adare’s experts developed oral granules that are easily administered by being sprinkled on food or mixed with liquids, making the medication much easier for dysphagic patients to consume.
“I’m delighted to see our scientists recognized for their work in addressing a critical market need and improving patients’ quality of life,” commented Tom Sellig, CEO of Adare Pharma Solutions. “This award underscores the commitment of both Adare and our customer in developing innovative patient-centric solutions that serve the specific needs of vulnerable patient populations.”
Adare was one of six finalists selected by a panel of pharma industry experts who, in deciding on the winner, considered innovation, patient centricity, problem solving and competitive advantage amongst their criteria.
The award was presented at a ceremony on October 8th at the world’s largest pharmaceutical event, CPHI Worldwide, which is currently taking place at Fiera Milano, Italy.
